My Story…(we will be brief)
Just like most kickers want to play quarterback or most drummers want to play guitar (or vice versa), many writers would like to be photographers. In the world of cutting costs in journalism, some bright publisher a few years ago decided to have writers become photographers - why not have the same person do both? The answer is obviously - BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT PHOTOGRAPHERS! But it was a way to save money so always follow the money. A longtime writer/editor with the likes of The Detroit News & Sacramento Bee, I decided to at least try to be a decent photographer. I was fortunate that one of my friends and bandmates was/is one of the best sports photographers in the country - so that helped. What helped the most was I LOVED IT. And I combined two of my favorite things - driving across the country and photography - into Scrapbook Images. These images are just the beginning of what I hope is a long journey into a new passion. Remember, you will never grow old if you continue to learn, understand and follow new dreams.
